Tutor’s teaching philosophy
Ms Maggie Chan holds a Master degree in Earth Sciences majoring in Geophysics from the University of Hong Kong on a research scholarship and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Adelaide. She has extensive research experience in university, industry and MNC as a geophysicist. She has taught and has extensive experience in international school and local Singapore school with MOE O level, A level, IGCSE and IB science and physics syllabus. She is also a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator and have participated in various STEM education projects.
Throughout her teaching career, she have learnt that teaching is far more than just preparing engaging lessons and inspiring young minds. It is also important to have genuine care and concern for the children that you are teaching. I deeply believe that students’ successes are also the teachers’ successes. She is patient, friendly yet assertive towards students.
